From retired Navy SEAL Cory Zillig comes a spiritual field guide for warriors navigating high-stakes operations, intense training, and everyday challenges. Empowering those striving for greatness, in battle or in life, this primer speaks one essential truth: greatness begins with attitude.
The selection courses forging our most elite warriors share one common goal: to see what you’re made of when your mind and body breakdown. When that happens, one thing propels you forward. One thing gives you strength to face your enemies. One thing keeps you from quitting and giving up on dreams.
Your warrior spirit.
A warrior spirit is not exclusive to professional warriors. We all have enemies. Apathy, complacency, doubt, fear, and insecurity attack when we pursue our highest goals. Combat these dark enemies by anchoring yourself in attitudes that cultivate your warrior spirit.
Cory’s twenty years’ experience as a SEAL, thirteen at SEAL Team SIX, taught him that the right attitudes are critical to realizing dreams and achieving success. Drawing from experiences in combat, training, and personal life, Zillig selected Ten Attitudes that strengthen your warrior spirit and crush enemies to your growth and freedom.
Devotion | Discipline | Discernment | Trust | Courage | Ferocity | Vigilance | High Standards | Forgiveness | Love
From soldiers and first responders to business leaders, parents, artists, and athletes—anyone can possess a warrior spirit that enriches both personal and professional life. Ten Attitudes is your no-nonsense guide for strengthening resolve, rooting your life in service, sharpening your awareness, and keeping you focused on your highest goals.

"Cory’s voice is grounded and sincere, coming not from a pedestal, but from the trenches.” – Rich Diviney, author of The Attributes and Masters of Uncertainty
“Zillig’s work is reflective and thoughtful, yet highly approachable for those who are drawn to a similar path.” – Chris Fussell, author of One Mission and co-author of Team of Teams
“Cory has managed to do something vanishingly rare: he has taken the interior landscape of a warrior — the spiritual architecture that actually sustains a man through selection, through combat, through loss, and through the bewildering silence that follows a career defined by violence — and rendered it in language that is honest, deeply personal, and genuinely useful.” – James Hatch, co-author of Touching the Dragon: And Other Techniques for Surviving Life's Wars.

Cory Zillig is a 20-year Navy SEAL veteran—13 of those as an assaulter with SEAL Team SIX—he has executed countless combat operations and earned numerous combat awards, including the Silver Star.
